My sincere thanks to all NHS officials and volunteers who took a short time out of their day to show me around the vaccination centre that is based at the Shrewsbury indoor bowling centre.
Having successfully offered the vaccine to all those in the top four priority groups, the NHS in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin has now started vaccinating people aged 65 to 69 and those who are clinically vulnerable to Covid.
Letters are being sent from the National Booking Service inviting people aged over 65 to book an appointment at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119 anytime between 7am and 11pm seven days a week.
GP practices are focusing on contacting those people who are on the Shielded Patient List, and those who are housebound for medical reasons.
Should somebody aged 65 to 69 want to wait to be called by their local GP vaccination service, or if they have already received the jab, they do not need to respond to their invitation letter.
