I am pleased with today's announcement (4 July 2023) that The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is moving forward with its Outline Business Case for the Hospitals Transformation Programme.
On track to be submitted this summer 2023, the approval of the Outline Business Case will be a key milestone in the national approval process, ahead of the Full Business Case in winter 2023/24.
The Trust has also begun the planning application submission process and will be holding some public engagement sessions on proposals for the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site, which I would urge constituents to attend. These events will take place on:
- Wednesday 19 July 2023 – 4pm to 7pm at Shropshire Conference and Education Centre, Mytton Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 8XQ
- Saturday 22 July 2023 – 10am to 2pm at Shropshire Conference and Education Centre, Mytton Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 8XQ
- Monday 24 July 20233 – 3pm to 7pm at Gains Park Hall, Gains Park Way, Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury, SY3 5HF
The proposals will also be displayed online from 20 July 2023 at [www.rshplanningapplication.co.uk] for people to view at their convenience with a feedback survey available.
