I am pleased to hear that Shropshire Council will receive £5m as part of the Government’s £900m Getting Building Fund. This sum will be spent on the overall project cost for the repurposing of the Pride Hill Centre in Shrewsbury.
Working with Marches Local Enterprise Partnership, Shropshire Council has been successful in their application for grant money following the government announcement that additional money would be made available to build homes, infrastructure and create jobs as part of the country’s economic recovery from coronavirus.
The funding forms part of the £14m secured by the Marches LEP for shovel-ready projects to help the recovery of the regional economy.
