£312m for Hospital Transformation Programme

I am delighted to announce that the Strategic Outline Business Case (SOC) for the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust Hospital Transformation Programme has gained approval from the joint Department of Health and NHS England Investment Committee. 

I was pleased to have the opportunity to ask for an update on the Hospital Transformation Programme at Prime Minister's Questions today (29 June 2022).

I was disappointed to receive this reply to my Written Parliamentary Question. These delays are no longer acceptable.

I joined forces with colleague Philip Dunne MP for Ludlow, in the House of Commons during the Health and Social Care Oral Questions to ask the Health Minister to release the £312 Million they have secured for the modernisation of health care services in Shropshire.   

The Emergency Department (ED) at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) is undergoing a £9.3million transformation as part of a programme of work to improve patient care.

I was pleased to have the opportunity today to ask the Prime Minister for intervention on the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals FutureFit programme.

Today Daniel had extensive discussions today with The Secretary of State for Health about the £312 million investment into the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust  to modernise A&E provision and much besides.
