Flooding

Flood prevention for Shrewsbury remains a top priority.  The River Severn Partnership has received government funding to enable schemes that will alleviate flooding and make the Severn, Wye, Warwickshire Avon and Teme the most vibrant and resilient river network.  Flooding not only affects quality of life, it has a massive impact on local economies and the natural environment.  I will continue to work with government ministers, local councils and water authorities to reduce flood risk.
