Protecting The Environment

People will be able to try Shropshire Council’s new on-demand bus service for free from Monday 6 November to Saturday 2 December [2023], when the service is tested ahead of its full launch on Monday 4 December.

The recent revisions to the net zero strategy have outlined a fairer path to achieve the target of net zero by 2050, and will ease the financial burden on British families. For too many years politicians in government have not been honest about costs and trade-offs.

Many constituents are writing to me with concern over the management of our rivers.  I would like to give  assurance that my ministerial colleagues and I fully appreciate the importance of our rivers.

I am delighted at this week's announcement that a new pilot on-demand bus service is to begin operating in an area to the southwest of Shrewsbury this autumn.  

A roadshow event will take place in Shrewsbury this week, to enable people to find out more about proposals for new and improved cycling and walking routes in Shropshire.  Council officers will be outside The Darwin Shopping Centre on Friday 12 May 2023 between 10am and 4pm to enable people find
