About Daniel

I was pleased and privileged to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury & Atcham in 2005 and have been committed to working hard for all my constituents in the years since then. I am honoured to have been re-elected in 2010, 2015, 2017 and most recently in 2019.

I was brought up in Surrey, before going to Stirling University to study Business Studies with French and Spanish. I then worked in telecommunications for ten years as an international account manager, travelling extensively in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. I have lived in Shrewsbury since becoming an MP in 2005.

In previous parliamentary terms, I have been on the Foreign Affairs Select Committee; was the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Wales and was also appointed the Prime Minister's Envoy to the Polish and Eastern European Diaspora in the United Kingdom.

I am currently Trade Envoy to Mongolia and am actively involved in a number of All-Party Parliamentary Groups.
