Gigabit broadband now covers 80% of the UK and 68.3% of Shrewsbury. The government announced Project Gigabit in 2019 – a long-term decision to invest £5 billion to enable hard-to-reach communities to access lightning-fast gigabit-capable broadband, helping to grow the economy and improve services for households.
More people across Shrewsbury can now access high-speed internet connectivity, making their lives easier and more productive, with the Conservative Government making long-term decisions for a brighter future for all.
