In a debate in Westminster Hall in the House of Commons, Daniel supports Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies in his opposition to the pylons due to be erected through Mid Wales and North Shropshire.

Original plans included the possibility of these pylons going the heart of the Rea Valley in Shrewsbury, however they faced strong opposition from Daniel and the local community.

In response to remarks made about a Shrewsbury business by the Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Chuka Umunna MP, Daniel defended the firm, prompting an apology for the company on the floor of the House of Commons.

After the disappointing decision from Network Rail to reject the London to Shrewsbury direct rail link, Daniel raised the service with the Prime Minister in the House of Commons.

When being asked about the train service from Shrewsbury to London, the Prime Minister stated he wants to bring more direct train services to important towns like Shrewsbury

Daniel discusses vote in the House of Commons on Badger culling.

In advance of a debate in the House of Commons on Thursday 25th October 2012 on the Governments plans for Badger culling as part of controlling the spread of Bovine TB, Daniel outlined his views to the Farming Today programme on BBC Radio 4.
