I was pleased and privileged to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury & Atcham in 2005 and have been committed to working hard for all my Constituents in the years since then. I am honoured to have been re-elected in 2010 and will continue to do my best for all of my Constituents.
This website has two main purposes: to let my Constituents know how I can help them and to provide information about the work I have been doing on their behalf. Please remember that I am here to represent everyone in Shrewsbury & Atcham - not just those who voted for me.
I welcome your views and am always willing to help with any matters you may wish me to take up on your behalf. If you wish to contact me online, by email, by post or by telephone, please visit our contact page.
The Data Protection Act 1998 requires that all Members of Parliament operate within the provisions of the Act.
Daniel will treat as confidential any personal information that is passed to him by Constituents. He will work on issues with his staff, who have all signed confidentiality agreements before starting to work with him.
In some cases Daniel will need to give information to agencies and Government Departments to progress an issue. For this reason, all Constituents who ask Daniel to work on their behalf will be asked to sign a Data Protection form. Daniel will only use information provided by a Constituent for the purpose for which it was provided.
Any personal information that is provided to Daniel will normally be recorded - usually on a computer - for future reference. Daniel's office is run as a 'paperless office' so written communication will be scanned and stored on a computer and the originals shredded or returned.
If a Constituent asks Daniel to act on behalf of someone else, such as a relative or friend, then Daniel will need written consent from that person, unless the Constituent holds an official power of attorney for them.
If you wish to see any information that Daniel holds about you, please write to him at: Daniel Kawczynski MP, Unit 1, Benbow Business Park, Harlescott Lane, Shrewsbury, SY1 3FA.
