Daniel supports Meet the Buyer Event
Daniel has been working closely with Shropshire Council to provide businesses experiencing very uncertain times throughout the current economic downturn with practical and helpful advice on how they might weather this recession.
Daniel commented ,"since the grip of this recession has taken hold, I have been approached by an increasing number of businesses who are suffering due to a decline in demand, while at the same time struggling to get access to much needed credit".
Shropshire Council are holding a "Meet the Buyer" event for businesses in the construction industry, which will take place on 27th April 2009 at the Shirehall.
The construction industry has suffered more than most in this recession, with the recent collapse of Wrekin Construction providing a stark realisation of the poor state of the industry. The event arranged by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce offers a presentation and short 1-2-1 interview slots explaining how contracting and procurement services are arranged by Shropshire Council.
Daniel said "this particular event provides firms from Shropshire with information on how contracting and procurement of construction services is arranged by Shropshire Council. I feel it is tremendously important that work done on behalf of the ratepayers of Shropshire should be carried out by firms based in Shropshire. It should certainly not be contracted out all over the country, as this will be of further detriment to our local businesses."
Daniel went on further to say, "I do not believe that the Government is providing anything like the scale of assistance this recession warrants. I would urge as many Shrewsbury businesses as possible to contact the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce tobook a consultation at this event. This event will be of real worth and I hope will contribute to the future of Shropshire construction industry."
The event is on 27th April 2009 at the Shirehall in Shrewbsury and will begin at 16:30. Consultation bookings can be made by telephoning Teresa Rowe on 01952 208 218.
