Daniel visits new crossing on Ellesmere Road

Dr Maxwell Winchester, Daniel and Andrew Wagner at the new Ellesmere Road crossing

Daniel was delighted to visit the site of the completed traffic crossing on Ellesmere Road with former Borough Councillors Dr Maxwell Winchester and Andrew Wagner.

Daniel commented, "Max has worked hard to obtain safety
measures for pedestrians on Ellesmere Road, as the cars heading in and
out of the town centre make it a particularly dangerous road for
Greenfields Primary School pupils who live in Coton Hill.

Max had been working closely with local residents on the traffic
problems in the area and, although he is unimpressed with the lack of
consultation conducted by the County Council on the location and type of
crossing, Daniel hailed the crossing as a "much needed provision for
pedestrians coming in or out of town and local children on their way to and from school".
