Daniel delighted to welcome two Lib Dem Councillors to the Conservative Party

Daniel and Conservative Council Leader Peter Nutting welcome Councillors David Farmer and Tony Durnell

Daniel recently had the pleasure of formally welcoming two former Liberal Democrat Councillors to the Conservative party to stand as Conservative candidates in the forthcoming Unitary Authority elections.

Tony Durnell (far right) and David Farmer (second from left) have agreed to join the Conservative Party and to stand as Conservative candidates in the Unitary Authority elections that are due to be held in June next year.

David Farmer is a former mayor of Shrewsbury Town and currently represents the Bagley Ward; Tony Durnell is the current Borough Councillor for Monkmoor.

Daniel said, "this is great news, not only from a party political viewpoint, but it means that the new Unitary Council will be more unified during what is bound to be a challenging transition period".
