Shropshire MPs Philip Dunne, Daniel Kawczynski and Mark Pritchard yesterday met Broadband Minister Ed Vaizey MP and officials from Broadband UK, to press the case for Shropshire to be prioritised in roll-out of superfast broadband to the county with improved access to broadband for all.

High cost of fuel for those in rural Shropshire raised in House of Commons debate

Last week in Parliament saw MPs debate a motion recognising that high fuel prices are causing immense difficulties for small and medium-sized enterprises, that some low-paid workers are paying a tenth of their income just to fill up the family car and that high fuel prices are particularly damaging for the road freight industry.
