I was pleased and privileged to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury & Atcham in 2005 and have been committed to working hard for all my Constituents in the years since then. I am honoured to have been re-elected in 2010 and will continue to do my best for all of my Constituents.
This website has two main purposes: to let my Constituents know how I can help them and to provide information about the work I have been doing on their behalf. Please remember that I am here to represent everyone in Shrewsbury & Atcham - not just those who voted for me.
I welcome your views and am always willing to help with any matters you may wish me to take up on your behalf. If you wish to contact me online, by email, by post or by telephone, please visit our contact page.
Before you contact Daniel, please make sure that he is your MP. If you are unsure whether you do live in the Shrewsbury & Atcham Constituency, please click here for further information.
If you wish Daniel and his staff to help you with a problem, issue or concern, the best thing is to write or email. Please make sure you include your full name, address, postcode and a telephone number.
Please also include an email address if you are happy to be contacted in this way. As well as being quicker to send than traditional post, using email keeps the cost to the taxpayer of running Daniel's office as low as possible.
However, if you wish to write by post, please be assured that your letter will receive equal priority with emailed letters. Full address below:
If you have an emergency, or you have another matter that is better dealt with by telephone, then please call the Constituency Office. The Office is usually staffed from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. If the Office is empty, for example in the lunch hour, please leave a message on the answer phone and someone will call you back as soon as possible.
Constituents are able to visit Daniel in person at one of his MP's surgeries. These are usually held on a Friday, or during Parliamentary recess. Please telephone the Constituency Office to make an appointment.
Please note that if you have an issue that you wish Daniel to help you with, you will need to put this in writing, even if you telephone in the first instance. This is a requirement of Data Protection regulations.
If we will need to pass on your name, address or other personal details while we are trying to help you, then we will need you to complete a Data Protection Form, which we will send to you.
If you are contacting Daniel on behalf of someone else, including a spouse or other close relative, we will need the written permission of the person in question to deal with the issue, unless you are an official attorney for them. Please ask them to complete and sign the Third Party declaration on the Data Protection Form.
